Jiangxi University of technology, located in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, is a full-time private undergraduate university.The predecessor of the school is Jiangxi higher vocational school, which was founded in 1994. In 1999, it was approved by the Ministry of education as an ordinary higher vocational college and renamed blue sky vocational and technical college. In 2005, it was upgraded to an ordinary undergraduate university and renamed Jiangxi Lantian University. In 2012, it was renamed Jiangxi University of science and technology.According to the official website of the University in December 2018, the campus covers an area of more than 2000 mu, with a building area of about 850000 square meters. It has a 33000 square meter digital library with a collection of more than 2.3 million books. It has 12 secondary colleges and 3 teaching departments, 39 undergraduate majors and 35 junior majors. It has 29881 full-time students, 1795 teaching staff, including 1369 full-time teachers.
