Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts (Xi'an Academy of fine arts, Xi'an Academy of fine arts for short) is one of the three major professional fine arts academies with doctoral degree authorization in China, ranking third among the eight major fine arts academies in China. It is the only higher professional academy of Fine Arts in Northwest China and a provincial high-level university in Shaanxi Province.The school was formerly the second division of northwest people's College of art. In July 1949, it moved from Linfen, Shanxi Province to Xingguo temple, Xi'an, and was renamed as the Art College of Northwest military and Political University. After going through the stages of Northwest Academy of art and northwest Academy of fine arts, it was officially named Xi'an Academy of art in May 1960, and moved to Yanta District in 1994. In 2007, he was awarded "excellent" in the undergraduate teaching evaluation of the Ministry of education. In 2011, it was included in the construction of high-level universities in Shaanxi Province.As of April 2017, Yanta, Lintong and Chang'an (Preparatory) campuses cover an area of more than 1.21 million square meters, with 15 departments and 27 undergraduate majors; 1 postdoctoral research mobile station, 3 first-class disciplines authorized by doctoral degree, 3 first-class disciplines authorized by master's degree, and 2 categories authorized by master's degree; more than 700 faculty members, including more than 500 full-time teachers; full-time students There are more than 7000 students, including more than 6100 full-time undergraduates and nearly 550 doctoral, master's and international students.
